Looking for the perfect place to kick off your summer with some sweet tunes? We can't think of any better idea than Socializing Better by enjoying new company, learning about a great cause, and rocking out to some great music. The featured band, The Dreamscapes Project (listen here!), has a sound that has been likened to Dave Matthew's Band and the Decemberists. They are upbeat, quirky, and clearly have big hearts as evidenced by their Twelve Days Project initiative, a unique twelve month long campaign which focuses on artistic collaborations, charitable partnerships and media exclusives surrounding the monthly release of tracks from DC folk-rockers. Come join us for a great night out of meeting new people and checking out a fantastic band.

To add some spice, we'll be having a dance off at 10:30, so bring your best moves to raise some money for Dance 4 Peace! RSVP and indicate you want to be a contestant or simply show up with your moves!

Past Event: November 21st Kick-off

Cause: Just the Roof

This project will build a girl’s dormitory in Guerin-Kouka, the largest town in the district to house 38 girls each year that would otherwise be subjected to the above conditions if not for this center. In the right environment these girls will succeed- they are already smart, motivated, and strong. If this center is not constructed, this dangerous status quo will continue and these girls will continue to be subjected to these conditions. The goals of the center do not stop with the 38 girls living there yearly- it will be a source of programming for all girls in the town and district.

Details: Rail Open Bar - $20 - 9:00pm - 11:00pm

Make a $20 donation (cash at the door) and receive open bar rail service until 11:00pm. We do not intend for this to be a two hour event, rather the open bar is just to kick start the fun! Come learn about Just the Roof, meet tons of fresh faces and be ready to have an amazing time. **Donation required to enter! kstreet lounge will be donating $5 per attendee!!

Cant make it before 11:00pm? Still make sure to RSVP with us to make sure to enter free of charge (kstreet lounge has a cover for non-Socialize Better attendees after 10:00pm.)
